| AKC Registered Shih Tzu Puppies |
xxxx Pembroch puppies are raised in our home, the living room to be exact, where they are socialized, loved, spoiled and become members of the family. xxxx Pembroch puppies are raised with us until a minimum of eight weeks, although deposits are welcome prior to that time. xxx xAt five or six weeks, weather permitting, they begin their first adventures in the yard; exploring their new world of fun and learning experiences. (Three of our five acres are totally fenced.) They bring their treasures, leaves, twigs and whatever else might be of interest back into the kitchen with the rest of their toys for further exploration. xxxx Pembroch Puppies are sold with AKC Limited Registration unless prior arrangements have been made. (An additional fee of $500 is charged if sold for breeding.) Guaranteed health and a Pedigree always accompany our puppies. xxxx A minimum deposit of at least $200 is required in order to consider a puppy sold. Deposits are non-refundable unless, in the unlikely event, something were to happen to the puppy. xxx xAll Pembroch puppies are inoculated at the age of five and eight weeks prior to their leaving us and require two additional vaccines at the age of eleven and fourteen weeks. All puppies are also negative for any type of parasites. xxxx Pembroch puppies are NEVER sold to Pet Stores, Puppy Farms or Brokers. xxx xWe are very proud of our Shih Tzu Breeding Program, and the beautiful and loving puppies we have produced over the last thirty-one years. xxx xIf you truly want a Shih Tzu, then a Pembroch puppy should be in your future! xxx Please do not hesitate to call or email us for any additional information or questions you may have. |

| xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxMale or Female xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxArticle published by the American Shih Tzu Club The pet buyers desire for a female probably stems from previous experiences with other breeds. Shih Tzus have always been bred to be companions to humans. Unlike many larger breeds, Shih Tzus do not have sex-linked temperament differences. Males are every bit as affectionate as females (some say more), and an aggressive Shih Tzu of either sex is unusual and undesirable. In fact, one is more likely to witness occasional squabbles over food and toys and ranking in the pecking order between females than between males, particularly among females in season. Note that it is best to have your pet Shih Tzu spayed or neutered as soon as recommended by your veterinarian to help curtail and eliminate undesirable sex-related behavior and reproductive health anomalies. Males are easier to keep in coat because they don’t go through periodic, hormone-related coat loss, making the male the ideal choice for someone planning to keep a pet in coat or have only one show dog. Also, males are much easier to housebreak. A male would much prefer to “hold it” until he goes outside to mark his territory in the greater world, while a female seems to think it is all right to eliminate wherever she happens to be when the urge strikes! |
